Celina Jaffe graduated with BA in French and a dance minor from the IUB Contemporary Dance Program in 2010. Since then she has trained and performed in Indiana, California, and southern France. Recently, she has performed in Different Trains and Shattered as a part of Indy Fringe 2014 and in Motus Dance's Choreographer's Showcase, Cultivate. Celina currently works at the International School of Indiana and teaches Ballroom at Broad Ripple Park. Celina is a co-founder with Crossroads Dance Indy, as well as a performer and choreographer.
Emily Jordan is a performer, choreographer, and dance educator from Knightstown Indiana. She received her BA in Dance Business from Anderson University. During her time as a student, she received multiple performance merit awards as well as the Allen Choreography Award. Emily was recently a cast member in the world premiere of LA CASA AZUL the musical with Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre. She has also appeared with NoExit Performance in their production of the Nutcracker. Emily is co-founder and artistic collaborator with Crossroads Dance Indy, a project based Dance Company. She has appeared in performances as a guest artist with Mocha Dance Project in “Helios Suite,” a site specific work and “My Name,” An improvisation work. Emily was chosen as a soloist to perform the Sugar Plum Pas de Deux in Candles and Carols, a nationally televised program. She has choreographed for Anderson University’s Summer Dance Intensive as an intern. She has been a rehearsal assistant for Sharon Wong and has studied under her instruction. Additionally, she has studied with Shauna Steele, Matthew Farmer, Oybek Tashpulatov, Jane Hachiya-Weiner, George Salinas, Kenny Shepard, and Doug King among others.
Emily Miser began dancing at the age of six at The Children’s Ballet, where she became artistic director in 2015. She studied ballet and pointe under Deni Jacks, Robyn Wenrich, Edward Moffat and Heidi Eads-Jones. At Anderson University she studied ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, and tap with professors Oybek Tashpulatov, George Salinas, Debra Silveus, Shauna Steele, Doug King and Kenny Shepard. She graduated summa cum laude and with honors with a B.A. in dance business at Anderson University. Her piece, “Compter Sur,” was presented at the American College Dance Festival in 2014. Emily is excited to be a part of Crossroads Dance Indy!
Morgan Skiles is a performance artist and choreographer residing in Indianapolis. She began studying dance at Anderson Young Ballet Theatre, where she is currently a Ballet instructor and choreographer. She attended Indiana University as a Dance major with a Kinesiology concentration, and was able to perform works by Paul Taylor, Martha Graham, Donald McKayle, and Laurie Eisenhower. Morgan has attended workshops with Inaside Dance Chicago, Paul Taylor in New York City, and Bates Dance Festival. With an idea to spread the impact of dance in the community, she collaborated with a few other artists to start Crossroads Dance Indy.
Halie Warmoth is originally from Granger, Indiana and has recently moved to the Indianapolis area. She has received her BFA in Dance from Ball State University. After transferring to Ball State her sophomore year of college, Halie fulfilled her requirements within three years in the Theatre and Dance program. She was a part of Ball State Dance Theatre for 5 seasons. During that time, Halie was cast in Alex Springer and Xan Burley’s (company members of Doug Varone and Dancers) guest artist piece, and most recently she was cast in Sidra Bell’s. Halie spent the summer of 2014 participating in River North Dance Chicago’s CollegePro Intensive where she was able to work with well-known and talented artists such as Sara Bibik, Sherry Zunker, and Hanna Brictson. Halie is very excited and grateful to be a part of Crossroads Dance Indy and looks forward to working with the local dance community.
Hannah Jordan-Wilhite fell in love with dance at a young age, and began training seriously with Anderson Young Ballet Theatre. She attended Point Park University where she graduated with a dual concentration major in Modern and Jazz Dance. During this time she also attended many dance workshops and summer programs. Hannah was a company dancer with Sarasota Contemporary Dance for two seasons before moving back home to Indiana. Currently Hannah is an adjunct dance faculty member at Anderson University, as well as an instructor at Dance East Ballet Academy. Hannah is so excited to be a part of Crossroads Dance Indy, and is looking forward to exploring the midwest dance scene, and collaborating with other local artists.
